Sellout
In the end, it was nothing more than just shrewd marketting strategy. We all knew how improbable it would be, being one of the big players in the region in film screening, and what magmanimosity they had in maintaining their stand amidst other moneysucking scums bent on exploiting the students' lavish spendings.
So now it's official: come 18th May (and I'm 2 days late), Cathay cinemas would be charging the same as all other cinema operators per movie screened. Never mind the fact that causeway point is still charging the same old rates, Eng Wah cinemas are still maintaining their own lousy joint in Clementi and charging consumers movies BELOW market rates, but are they making a hoo hah about it?
I'm sticking back to my Suntec nights with Dad and exam-relief at Clementi regime.
Horrors of horrors!Careless me just lost a whole chunk of post due to complacencies and blind faith in the blogger system.
But to sum up the gist of the argument -
1. Met 3 dudes from the JC latter-day saints.
2. There's like about 5 branches in Sg.
3. They claim to self fund themselves here, but i do not understand where they get the money from to share an apartment in a condominium up north.
4. The black dude from Tonga (some place off NZ) claims T-Mac is from T-wolves cos i was wearing the singlet! - conversation point for them to start off something i guess. For the record, T-mac was from Vancouver->Orlando->Rockets if I recall.
5. The point of this post - I shook hands differently with the 3 dude based on their physical appearance!
6. Asian indon dude got the weak 'may i have this dance with you' shake, tall dark intimidating black NZ dude got the shake-grab hand thingy - only he knew how to do the snappy sound thingy at the end but i didn't :P, and then the white man from US got the classic firm shake.
7. I didn't know why i did it. May be rascism at work?
Deviated idea from the experience: I say to hell with wars. If a nation is in recession, have a national religion! The self-sufficiency from missionary trips will cut per-head costings, well wishers donations will fund the government, and of course, power hungry popes in skirts will help organise the people and fend off radicals. Ah, what an utopia of peace and bliss.
Summer Goals UpdatesWell, I've finally finished my game, and watched a movie at cineplex, deliberating avoiding the other mercenary cinemas in the process. YEAH!
For starters, I've also borrowed 2 photoshop books for reference. Hopefully I'd have some chance of using them ASAP!
PMSIt would definitely have been less undesirable, had it really mean 'Pre-Marital-Sex' instead of its normal convention.
I used to think it was just hogwash, but i just had to be proven wrong today.
she: i thought YOU were angry, but then you had no reason to be angry, so when i thought about it I became angry!
me: (but i wasn't even angry in the first place...)
One of the articles featured in my soci class last time mentioned something about a lady in UK being acquitted of homocide charges on accounts of her PMS - or something like that.
And by posting something like that on public domain may very well incur more wrath from the monster itself (the syndrome!! not you!! really!! honest!!). Death may ensue.
Akan DatangWhoosh! (no francis here) and the holidays are here again. Once again, what better way to spend it than to have a fulfilling planned one, kinda like how school is minus the mandatory fields.
So, things to do this coming summer, in no particular order of preference:
01) Adobe Photoshop.
02) Html
03) Hitchhiker's Guide, Madagascar, Episode III and more! - all these outside the vincinities of Shaw, GV and Eng Wah (fuck you! fuck you all!).
04) Europe, Hong Kong and hopefully Sentosa
05) Workout regime!!
06) Start drawing again
07) Statistics revisited
08) Xianjianqixia 3
09) Existentialism and deconstructionism - as the mysterious tutor requests
10) Job?
