Whoo hoo! I'm @ the airport! Alone! Thought about a philosophical question over dinner with ding yesterday @ some food court in pay bar uncle. If the flight's 3hr but it'll only begin from 4-6, due to longitudinal differences, would it be just as right/wrong to say it's only 2 hr?
Whatever. I'm off to bangkok for a road trip.
If I'm ever online, that will prolly means it's boring. Thanx Nadj if I'd ever need your help! Oh, and 1 more thing, anyone please help me ask mags to send me the measurements that she need from me cos i kinda forgot to give her the necessary stuff! :P
This keyboard feels good! Toodles! The trip beckons! But 1st, to the toilette!

Who'd have thought this bunch of kids would last that long? From this... to this... and then there was this yr...
The tradition started back when there were no pagers, no handphones, 12.8K (IMAGINE THAT!) internet and people would just come back to the old school building every teachers day each year, be it for the nostalgia, the teachers or just the friends that you know you'll be seeing. Then the inevitable came where the school had to move and the visiting just stopped. However, it just means a change of venue. One year it was ECP, then it became Suntec, some restaurant or cafe, 21st birthdays, bbq at friend's place, until we really ran out of places to go this yr.
Smarty pants me had to suggest pig out at sakae buffet, where 2 weeks ago it was still buffet deal from 3-10pm. What a difference that made. Fast forward to today, the foodcourt was closed, and so was the sushi place. Ended up at some ulu overpriced Indon place @ riverside b4 movin on to cartel @ plaza sing for a real chat.
Every year, the SAME few faces with few variations would reminicise about the SAME old thing, with the SAME routine updates, with the SAME old pri sch guy-girl segregation.
Kinda makes things boring isn't it? That's why we only do it once a yr.

MY 331/
3% rule
Suppose you are at the crossroads of some impending earth shattering changes. What should you do?
To quote one of my personal self-coined favourite phrases, "life is about as simple as you want it to be". Contrary to common dualists or purists belief, the magic number of the universe is not 2 nor 1 but 3. To all things in life exists 3 absolutes - yes, no and dunno. I mean that's the very basis of any argument, isn't it?
"The earth is round!"
"Yes."
"No!"
"Dunno?"
"God exists!"
"Yes?"
"No?"
"Dunno."
When it comes to problem solving, use the 33
1/
3% rule. We are just as likely to know positively/negatively or not about anything. Basing on whatever data or information we have, list the objective ones as yes or no. Whatever that you FEEL or THINK you know will be under the dunno column. Chances are, unless you are some bigotic bastard or skeptical scum, you'll have more 'dunno's than the 'know's.
Assumption #1: 33.33333%. Even though you know more things in one category than the next doesn't mean it's absolute. Chances are the unknowns would work out to be about the same.
Assumption #2: The possibility of the assumptions being right is 33
1/
3 too.
So if the next time you hear about the 33 and 1/3 percent rule, you know i've primed them somehow before.
Know? No? Dunno.

Things you thought u knew but don't.
Don't argue! That's just the way it is and the only way to learn... Humility isn't about being softspoken and shy about compliments, it's about knowing when to accept the fact that you are stupid.

By the end of this holiday, I would have already spent (in no particular order):
$10 on some comfy cheapo kiddy striped tee,
$10 on some hitler pink tee,
$16 on cheapo berms from Taka,
$20 on funky board shorts from Topman,
$87 on 3 stylo tees in assortment,
$20 on cool 50% off silver shirt,
$26 on stylo torn and tattered vintage shirt,
$23 on cheesy Topman tee.
$20 on meet-the-parents long sleeve during the GSS.
-------------------------
Total: $232
By the end of this holiday, I would have already wasted (roughly in wanton expenses):
$50 on China Black,
$50 on Wala Wala,
$200 on miserly SGH,
-------------------------
TOtal: $300
By the end of the holidays, I would have already earned (estimated earnings):
$18x3=$54 from peddling samples on the streets,
$400 from babysitting p sch. kids during their hols,
$180 from babysitting more kids on sats during their school term.
-------------------------
Total: $634
Net gain: $634 - $300 - $232 = $102
Now, can somebody explain to me where am I to go in Thailand with that kind of money?
Saturday, July 10, 2004
Fuck. I think I may have really overstretched myself this time. As much as I don't want to, I may very well have to be an empty vessel for alot of things in time to come. To try and organise some stuff,
now-13th Jul: Attachment
14th Jul: Move back hall (supposed)
15th Jul: Presentation AND lamer rehearsals commences later after work
16th-23rd Jul: Some more attachment
24th Jul: Work THEN travel
25th Jul: Thailand
26th Jul: Bidding IN Thailand
27th-1st Aug: Still in Thailand
2nd Aug: BACK! ...On the day school starts
3rd Aug: Flag Day & Start of STUPID Rehearsals
7th Aug: R & F
10th Aug: WEEK 1!!!!!
And I'm only listing out the commencement dates for the various events. If I were to REALLY commit to it all, that would be really crazy. I wouldn't even have time to breathe. So sorry counsellor corp, as much as I would love to, I can't make it for orientation this year. Sorry Mags, but I don't think you'd still want me as your stilt walker as much as I'd love to. Sorry oxymoron widow, but I'd sure love to give u a miss for my well deserved break (just how "merry" can u get when your husband is dead? I'm certainly not feeling the joy. Dumbfuck.)
Am I really planning for a year 4 without my dream room? Or would i EVEN have a 4th year in the 1st place? GDMFS. I'm feeling the heat. Not to mention I'm suppose to start the alumni thingy going without having the faintest idea how to go about doing it. And the hall stuff to do to be able to stay. And the academic ideals that I'm suppose to achieve. And friends. Are they all REALLY that important? Or is it only SOME of them? Or even NONE?
I REALLY NEED TO GET ORGANISED.

How to write a complain letter
Step 1: Be pissed, but not vulgar
Step 2: Effective but not overuse of caps
Step 3: Attack the company, not the employees, cos it's never their fault, and reputation's at stake
Step 4: Defend possible confounds to your argument
Step 5: Drop subtle hints of defecting to rival companies.
Stupid Asia Travel in charge of Valuair flight promo packages has delayed my travelling plans at the end of the month. And their lousy email reply system needs TWO FULL fucking working days. Can't expect me to call from work right?
"To whom it may concern,
I have called up asiatravel TWICE personally to ask about the breaking
away of hotel and flight and TWICE your staff have promised me that
such an arrangement is absolutely possible, where I only have to
specify it in my reservation note. I am appalled by the lack of
consistency in the responses that I've gotten from your company, as
well as this absolute lack of professionalism for an organisation as
such.
I do not think that it is a misunderstanding on my part, and I believe
your collegues were also very clear in their explanation of my queries
regarding the separation of flight and accomodation dates. Please get
your details sorted out and reply ASAP as I would rather source for my
own accomodation elsewhere should the package be as inflexible as you
described.
Regards,"
